About Nurul Fasihah.
Artist Biography
Nurul Fasihah (b. 2004, Singapore) is currently a second year diploma in Fine Art student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She has participated in the Merchandise section of Independent Archive’s LELONG LELONG Fundraiser 2022 at Pavilion Square and at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Vibrancy Day @Flea Market.
Artist Statement
My 3D practice stems from my interest in engaging my sense of touch into my own work. Rather of sketching on paper, I thought it would be more intriguing to do it on actual clay, which would result in surprising textures and exciting results. With using a wide variety of mediums and materials in my works, sculpture and ceramics allows me to explore different ways and techniques on how to better conceptualise and interpret it in my work.
